1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account on stuLib and using our services, you confirm that you:

  • Are a current Pulchowk student
  • Are at least 18 years old
  • Have read and understood these Terms of Service
  • Agree to be legally bound by these terms
  • Will comply with all applicable laws and regulations

2. User Eligibility

stuLib is exclusively for Pulchowk students. You must:

  • Provide a valid Pulchowk college email address
  • Verify your email to activate your account
  • Maintain accurate profile information
  • Immediately inform us of any changes to your eligibility

We reserve the right to verify your eligibility and suspend accounts of non-qualifying users.

3. Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
  • All activities that occur under your account
  • Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access
  • Keeping your profile information accurate and up-to-date
  • Ensuring your password is secure and not shared

We are not liable for any unauthorized use of your account.

4. Book Sharing and Borrowing

4.1 Adding Books
  • You can only add books that you own or have legal rights to share
  • Provide accurate information about book condition, edition, and availability
  • Do not add copyrighted material that violates intellectual property rights
  • You are responsible for the accuracy of your book listings
4.2 Search Functionality
  • You must have at least one book added to your collection before you can search for and borrow books.
  • This requirement ensures fair participation and community engagement
4.3 Borrowing Process
  • Send borrowing requests through the platform
  • Book owners may accept or decline your requests
  • Coordinate pickup and return dates directly with the book owner
  • Treat borrowed books with care and respect
  • Return books on the agreed-upon date
  • Do not lend borrowed books to others without permission
4.4 Book Condition and Liability
  • You assume responsibility for borrowed books while in your possession
  • If you damage or lose a borrowed book, you are liable for replacement or compensation
  • Resolve disputes directly with the book owner
  • If no resolution is reached, contact stulibshare@gmail.com for mediation

5. User Conduct

You agree NOT to:

  • Use stuLib for any illegal, fraudulent, or harmful purposes
  • Harass, bully, or threaten other users
  • Share false or misleading information about books
  • Attempt to hack or compromise the platform's security
  • Spam or send unsolicited messages
  • Post explicit, violent, or offensive content
  • Impersonate another person or organization
  • Violate intellectual property or copyright laws
  • Sell books or services for profit on the platform
  • Create fake accounts or multiple accounts to bypass restrictions
  • Access the platform using automated tools without permission

6. Community Guidelines

Maintain a respectful and safe community by:

  • Treating all users with respect and courtesy
  • Being honest in your communications
  • Following through on agreements
  • Respecting others' privacy and property
  • Reporting any violations or suspicious activity

7. Intellectual Property Rights

All content on stuLib, including design, layout, text, and code, is the property of stuLib or its licensors. You may not:

  • Reproduce or republish our content
  • Use our platform for commercial purposes
  • Scrape or extract data from our servers
  • Modify or create derivative works

8. Limitation of Liability

stuLib is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. We do not warrant that:

  • The platform will be uninterrupted or error-free
  • All information is accurate or complete
  • Your results will be as expected

To the maximum extent permitted by law, stuLib is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform.

9. Disclaimer

stuLib is a platform that facilitates peer-to-peer book sharing. We are not responsible for:

  • Direct transactions between users
  • Book condition disputes
  • Lost or damaged books
  • User-to-user conflicts or disagreements

10. Account Suspension and Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you:

  • Violate these Terms of Service
  • Engage in fraudulent or illegal activity
  • Violate community guidelines
  • Are no longer a Pulchowk student
  • Have multiple violations of platform policies

Upon termination, your access to the platform will be revoked, and you lose all associated data and privileges.

11. Modifications to Services

We may modify, add, or remove features and functionality at any time. We will notify users of significant changes. Your continued use of stuLib constitutes acceptance of modifications.

12. Dispute Resolution

In case of disputes between users or regarding platform services:

  • First, attempt to resolve directly with the other party
  • If unresolved, contact stulibshare@gmail.com with details
  • We will mediate and attempt to find a fair resolution
  • Our decision is final and binding

13. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Nepal. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Kathmandu, Nepal.

14. Limitation on Time to File Claims

Any claim or cause of action must be filed within one year after the cause of action arises, or you forfeit the right to pursue the claim.

15. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service at any time. Significant changes will be communicated via email or website notification. Your continued use of stuLib indicates your acceptance of any updates.
